Chapter 11

One month later...

'I hereby find Rick Peter guilty of posessing a weapon with an intention of harm. He shall be sentenced to spend two years in a religious home.'
The court was silent. Mr Peter silently wept. He regretted not spending enough quality time with his children. Somehow, his daughter Jeanie was not like his son, though she used to be. Mr Peter sighed. Ben patted his shoulder.


Rick glanced around. It happened so fast. Weeks ago, he was at the peak of his life, but now his life had suddenly experienced a total change. He felt a sudden urge to light a cigarette. He fumbled in his pocket, and realised that he was denied his freedom.


Meanwhile, Joseph sat alone on his desk. Things seemed worse after he became a christian. His friends deserted him while others mocked him. Despite praying for his studies, his grades took a deep plunge. He recalled Ben saying that he had a purpose, but was this his purpose? Maybe he had no purpose at all...
